Default 8.5 +45 and 9.5 +55

I found some wheels in 18 x 8.5 +45 front and 18 x 9.5 +55 rear. Both of these sizes place the wheel 1.3" further out than the stock setup and just by eyeballing/tape measure it seems this would be sticking out just too far past the fender. I believe some people running the big BBS LM's have the same rear offset so my question is for those running thise size, how is the fitmet? This is with stock suspension and alignment, possibly going to a basic (tein flex, bilstein, etc.) coilover setup. Sorry for the inquiry but search is down....again.

By the way, I'd probably go 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear (possibly 265/35/18 rear but this may run into problems with this offset I'm thinking)

haha...thanks...that is actually what I was hoping someone would post. After just looking at the car again I pretty much came to the same conclusion. I think I'll stick with trying to find a nice set of CE28's or something that was made to fit the car.

A really nice fit for the "S" is:

an 8" wheel in the front with a +51 to +53

a 9" rear with +63

a 9.5" rear with an approx +66 / +67 or so

a 10" rear with a +73 / +74 or so.

Good Luck

Would this be OK? 17x7.5 +50(f)

I have no Idea what this means, I'm trying to learn.

Leaning towards CE28s, but may go for something cheaper...like this:

you can run a 17x9" +40 if you want. You just to run -3* of camber and roll the fenders. So, in short, that wheel will fit, just depends on what you're doing with that wheel and how you want the tires to wear when daily driven.

if you're not lowering, you shouldn't have major problems with the 18" set up you listed...it's not ideal for the car though...

if there is a problem, you have fender rolling and negative camber as your alternative solutions.

I just want to add:..........

Of course you can make a wheel fit by rolling fenders, trimming off parts, running smaller tire widths, and dialing in a lot of negative camber.

Some peoples idea of a propperly fitted wheel is that when you bolt it on......with the appropriate tire width & size that it fits great without alterations to the car.

I took the intent of the first post with the idea that the intent was to NOT have to do these additional alterations.

But the idea that you telling someone that they shouldn't have problems......?? That's just wrong.......the front wheel listed at 8.5" +45........with the 225/40 he listed will rub so hard it's not even funny.......and you'ld have to stretch a small width tire over the rear to get it to clear.......sure you might be able to do it.....but it's not gonna look right.

Do you even own an "S"...??
