8" Rears... ? Why ?
I've been looking for wheels and it seems like a ton of wheels that I like are only x8 in the rear. Seems pointless for me to go from my 8.5 ap2 wheels to an x8.
Thoughts ?

you must be looking at cheap wheels or wheels not made for the s2000 in mind then. Most of the proper rears made for the s2000 will be min of 8.5 to 9"
bump...I found another set I like...17x8 again the back...
hrm.
Also, the rears are 17x8 +50 but I have the option of 17x7 or 17x7.5 in the front.
Should I go for the larger size up front or somthing that creates a bigger stagger ?

I would go for a larger stagger personally. I would not do less than an inch difference. No more than 2 inches difference. I have an inch and a half personally. (18x8" in front and 18x9.5" in back.) Most people want to run wide tires in back, and with a width of 8 inches, you would really be wise to not exceed a 245-40-17. Which isn't bad... just not as wide as some like.

I ran 17x7 and 17x8 on my ap1.... which was wider than the stock rims (ap1 rims)...
But i can see your concern reguarding ap2 rims... it would seem abit pointless to pay for rims that arnt even as wide as your stock rims... and from what ive read, its better to run.... say a 245 on a 8.5in rim rather than a 8in rim.. because the tire sits better.... but that may just be a myth..
