Default Aftermarket Lug Nuts

I read that you can save a pound just by switching to aftermarket lug nuts. But on some i also read you can't use them on stock/factory rims.

Which lugs can you run on the stock 04 rims that are light weight?

I don't know of any, but I'm sure somebody must make them, most aftermarket lugs are 'cone/tapered' type but the OEM wheels need 'acorn/ball' type. You want to save a pound, skip lunch. I know of some people who have had real issues with some of the lower priced aluminum and alloy lugs.

Nice pic to illustrate the difference. But to my eyes, the two don't look all that different. For safety's sake we should use what's recommended.

spoon makes some for OEM wheels but you have to make sure you get the specific ones.
