greetings. i was in an accident and part of the repairs included new front tires and a front alignment. i was looking at the invoice charged to the insurance co, and the shop had two line items: $54 for front toe adjustment and $186 for front camber / caster adjustment. $240 seems at least 4x too much for just a front alignment, or am i missing something? does an alignment for the s really cost that much or did they just overcharge by a lot?

Sounds like they are padding the bill to me, unless there was some extra mechanical stuff they had to do over and above the usual adjustments in order to get it to align.

 

I haven't had the s aligned but last time I took my del sol to the honda dealer for alignment it was like 90 for all 4 corners.

 

Thats some huge padding on those prices.

I just took my S in to get aligned at the dealer I bought it from. $70 for all 4 corners, getting the exact specs I wanted all around (the mechanic actually came to the waiting area and checked to make sure the settings were OK by me).
