Alignment specs
ok..
2002 s2000
DRop: tein flex around -2.3" drop F -2.0 drop R
Spring rates 8kg/mm F , 10kg/mm
tires 225/40 F 285/30R
so with the suspension the natual tendency of the car would be oversteer (stiffer rear)
and the tires natural tendency would be Understeer (less traction front)
so right now id say between susp/tires im pretty neutral with a slight tendency of understeer
anywho.. alignment specs i need to set prior to wheels going on car becasue wheels are going to be made to fit between (susp/fender) in rear 10.5" on 285/30
made so they dont ever rub.. so i need to figure out specs prior to creating offset
so what would you say are the optimal alignment settings for this setup. i know that with a car w/ dual wishbones all around u can go more extreme camber w/o it being an issue..so
Friend #1 who autox's says
Front Rear
-2.0 -1.5 Camber
0 1/8" in (1/16 each in)
Friend #2
-1.5 -1 -- -0.8 camber
0 0
both of which own a civic and are just guessing to their best knowledge. (they are the smartest susp people i know..)
anywho.. people who know their stuff what would you say, car will be used for daily and then spirited weekends in the everglades
use format
FRONT REAR
Camber
Toe
im seriously considering just going to the race shop and having them drive/figure or use the pyrometer. also what tire pressures would be optimal..

With that set up and your friends alignment settings, you should kiss a gaurdrail pretty hard. Keep the toe settings stock and just increase the camber. With 2"+ drop, nothing you do will make it handle better. You have now changed the geometry of the suspension to the point that handling will be worse. Increase your ride hight about an inch and you will be much surprised. The suspension needs to be able to move up and down within an arc to function properly. You need to decide if you want looks or functionality.
