Default Alright to store tires in hot attic?

Does anyone know if storing tires in the attic is a bad idea? Didn't have much room in the garage so decided to shove them up there. It gets pretty hot up there during the Texas summers so wanted to check with tire experts if this would hurt the stock s02s. Thanks!

For the best longevity, tires should be stored in a cool, dark location not subject to high ozone concentrations (like near an electric motor). If it's your only choice, the attic will have to do, but I wouldn't do it unless there's no other solution.

Attics are hot and protracted heat is not good for tire longevity, especially in Florida .

Actually in FL I think the biggest problem with the attic would be the heat and MOISTURE.

Last I checked it gets pretty humid in FL and mildew could be a concern.

CoralDoc is correct on all points. The heat will make the tires dry rot and harden. The best would be the spare bedroom stacked one on top of the next.
