Default another RE-11A thread...

I have had these installed since tuesday on my new black enkei pf01.... It was 75 degrees on tues, 80 degrees on wend, 50 degrees yest, and 45 & rainy today... they did amazing on every dry day, there wasnt a single corner I could break them loose on, but what was even more impressive was how well they did today in the rain. I honestly could not even tell that it was wet on the ground... Anyone who puts anything other than these on their S is just out of their mind. Especially now that they are priced lower.

those tires do not compare to the re11a let alone are in the same category. All the previous tires listed will make the re11a look like a godsend. Glad you like em though.

did you miss the fact I had the yoko advans? they are also extreme performance tires, and I can honestly say they werent even the second best out of all the tires ive had.

Yokohama AD08s?

"advan" alone doesn't explain much, which is probably why he made the comment. Even the old RE11s are a big improvement over all the tires you listed. We appreciate the feedback as it's really hard to find any reviews on these brand new tires.

Re11as stick. Way better than re050 that come stock. Whether they are better than zII or rival is yet to be determined

After 1800 miles on the RE-11A and some very fast dragon runs in the FR-S, I am sold on the RE-11A. It stormed the whole 9 hour drive from Chicago to the Dragon Thursday night and the tires handled it great. Got to the Dragon and was pleasantly surprised with their grip and response. They were super quiet on the drive there and back, and super smooth too. For a daily tire that can handle lots of hard drive driving and turn in fast lap times, but handle rain, and wear well, I think the RE-11A is the winner, especially when you consider price.

Thanks for the reviews on a relatively new tire, just put in an order at tire rack for the re11a. They will be replacing my nitto nt05. Weird how it's listed cheaper on tire rack right now than the one it's going to replace (re11). Or it might just be the sizing, I ordered 255/40/17. That sizing is almost back ordered or out for several months at all but one distribution centers (Georgia) on tire rack and discount tires can't even special order them at the moment. I just checked tire rack and the inventory says less than 5 available now since i ordered 4 in that sizing...so swoop them up fast if you want them now from tire rack!

Tirerack needs to test all these new extreme performance tires.
