Default Ap1 Looking for advice

MY 2000 AP1, stock suspension.

Currently running on ancient S-03's, mounted to 17" BBS RGR's +48 front, +55 rear.

Size of my existing tires is 225/45 front, 255/40 rear.

Considering replacing with either RE11's or Star Specs. I will stick with 255/40 in the rear, any thoughts on 215/45 vs. 225/45 in the front? Anyone switched between these two setups?

Thanks
-Jeff

Go with the RE-11 225s man. They are excellent tires. I never drove with the Star Specs so I can't really compare the two. However I love the way my RE-11 225s on my ap2 v1 rides though.

Go check out the RE-11 reviews on Tire rack . Everybody seems to be happy with this tire!

Thanks.

Are they really worth the money over the Dunlop Star Specs?

They are a better handling tire. You would have to decide if it is worth the extra cost. In the test that the Tire Rack and Grassroots Motorsports did the RE11 was better.
If I can help let me know.

Jim....on TireRack's comparison test, it was mentioned that the steering response on the RE11 wasn't as good as some of the other tires. How bad is it?

Also, would you go with 215's or 225's in the front?

I have the same wheels as you, have 225's up front, 255 in the rear.

Go with the RE-11s. They are very grippy and very linear. I absolutely loved mine before I had to let them go when I had to move.

My current tires won't wear out soon enough so I can get new RE-11s.
