Look at the FAQ in this forum for recommended offsets.

Why are you looking to stay with stock size tires? By stepping up to 17" rims, you give yourself many more options for tires in sizes that will give much better handling.

That's one reason I got 16"ers for my second set as well.
RE01R's in AP1 sizes = $480
RE01R's in AP2 sizes = $730

Unfortunately there are next to no aftermarket 16" wheel options for the S2000. I believe the RPF1's only come in 7" wide for the 16" diameter (stock are 6.5" F, 7.5" R). You could fit stock AP1 tires on those, and the 43mm offset would be no problem, but staggered wheel widths would generally be preferred.

Used might be the way to go, you might check the parts for sale forum. That's where I found my SSR Integral A2's (16x7 45 F, 16x8 45 R).
