Default AP2 wintermaxx sizes

I have an old set of 17x7 50mm offset, and i am planning on using wintermaxx 225/55/17 all around for winter. Will this work? Already have tires waiting to get wheels so nothing has been mounted. Just need to know if the tires will be good. I got them in the mail today and they look pretty damn big like they belong on a SUV

thanks in advance

225/55 is gigantic.

A stock S2000 tire is 215/45/17. I know most people use 225/45...which are a bit taller...but still.

215/45/17 : 24.62'' diameter.

225/45/17: 24.97'' diameter.

215/55/17: 26.31'' diameter!!

~1.75'' is a lot. your speedometer will be quite a bit off, you'll notice a big difference in how the car drives and looks...and you MIGHT scrape the fender/liner on large bumps. 17X7 +50 is more aggressive than your stock fitment (not by much).
