i'd just keep your eyes peeled for a USED set of actual OEM wheels. You'll get better qualiy. They pop up around that price in good condition all the time.

i havent found a single person, besides madsedan, that would let a set of ap2v1's in good condition go for <$520 shipped.

not one single person.

imo they are the best looking oem wheel for these cars... and you arent gonna get into a good looking set of 17" aftermaket wheels in the same price range, period.

not gonna happen.

UPSDOC, did you weigh them? wonder if they weigh the same..

I've been looking also, I can't find AP2v1's for anywhere near that price unless they are scuffed up.

I ordered two AP2 04-05 rear wheels this morning from wheels and caps. I will be getting the centers bored out this weekend so I can use them on the front to create a non-staggard setup.

I can post up pictures and weights for those interested.

Hey Scooby, I am considering doing the exact same thing. It would be great if you could weight them for me. I am curious if they weigh the same as OEM wheels. It seems like a good option since it would cost about half as much as any nice aftermarket rims.

Do you plan on using 245 or 255 tires? I think i might go with 245 front 255 rear.

Also how much does it cost to have the wheels bored out?

Let me know how they fit. I want to know if I will need to roll the fenders or add spacers or anything like that.

I look forward to hearing your review.

Why not? It's inexpensive, the style looks good... so, what's the problem?
cause wheels aren't just for looks. consider weight, IE my WEDS are 18lbs each. A cheaper wheel such as ASA or TSW etc weigh like 28lbs. 4wheels = 40lbs more O.O, when Honda took the time to reduce weight for us, you SKIMPING out on the wheels and adding weight is like a total slap in the face to Honda. I guess this is what happens when the S2000 price becomes the price of a new civic.

Wheels arrived today. The wheels are nicely wrapped in something that looks like a hair net with a plastic rim protector over that, and then put in a plastic bag. All of that is in a cardboard box with an extra layer of cardboard to protect the rim side.

Visually I cannot tell any differences between these wheels and the OEM ones on my car. The paint and clearcoat finishes look great and are a good match to the OEM wheels.

They weight 21.8 lbs each according to my bathroom scale.

Let me know if anyone wants to know anything else about them.
