If these wheels said "Honda" or "Enkei" on them, I would agree 100% with you. But they don't.
Ok.. But things on replica watches for example such as "Made in Switzerland" or "Authentic Swiss Movement" is placed on cheap knock offs as well. Certainly they were not made there, the materials are not the same, so why should this be any different? Moreover, as for lawsuits. If the products are being manufactured without license and in say.. China for example, what are the realistic chances of someone bringing a suit against anyone a firm making knock off products outside of the US?

F1-Fanatic, do us all a favor and shut up already.
Listen, we are not uninformed 12 yr old that need your rescue.
Most people buying these know what they are buying.
They don't need your lecture.
Leave the freakin thread alone.

Just playing devils advocate and pointing out what appears to be obvious to me. As for logical thought. I spent 15 years alone with a military subcontracting firm and know a bit about manufacturing and fabrication. Moreover while with this firm, we worked with independent auditors testing materials for the Navy to analyze failure of components under stress.

I havent read all the posts in this thread because I simply dont have the time here at work and on my brake, but Wheels and Caps has been around for a long time now, they have great customer service and Ive never heard one person complain about them as a company or the products they sell. I would trust that the wheels they sell are a safe OEM replacment, Since Honda planed on us tracking our cars on our OEM wheels then I'd like to assume that the Wheels and Caps wheels are of the same standerd. I will be buying AP1V1 wheels from them as soon as I can afford it, My stock OEM AP1 wheels under the pressure from Crappy NY roads have gotten pretty bent, just noticble on the highway and on the balance machine.

The problem with your arguements is that they are all based on the assumption that somehow these wheels don't meet standards. You have no basis to back this up, other than you think it might be the case. Nope, these are not SSR, Volk, Enkei, BBS, OEM, etc etc... no one is claming that they are the quality of those high end brands. But I am willing you put $400 on the fact that these rims aren't as crappy as you seem to feel.

The whole "replica wheel" arguement is even weaker. WHO CARES?!?!?!?!? Are we now wheel snobs? You asked if people bought replicate rotors or brake pads... ALL THE TIME. Every single aftermarket pad can be considered a replica. It replicates the function of the original part... even looks and smells the same.

For the life of me, I can't understand why there is so much "hate" on these wheels... it's not like someone just started a shop in their backyard and started to cast wheels. You know as well as I do, that these factories are costly... as such, there really aren't that many of them around. I know FOR A FACT, that a lot these factories sub work for all those famous brands we all happily part our money for. I also know for a fact that alot of those expensive "Made In Japan" products are not made in Japan.
