Autocross setup rims and tires
I've got a 00 stock S2000.
I'm completely new to autocrossing but I want to get involved with new rims and tires.
(In Canada you can run R compounds and new rims and still be in A stock).
All I know is that I want a CHEAP setup with the competition rubber and any rims that will fit. The only things that are important are speed and price. I can't find any 16in rims on tirerack with the default search, and I don't know enough about sizing and allignment etc to decide something offisize.
Someone suggested to me 15inch rims if they will fit, and fill them up with fatter rubber, which from a F1 point of view seems to make sense, is there enough clearance for the brakes?
If anyone has any suggestions, please post here... I'd really like Kuhmos Victo700s on ASA AR1s because they seem like a good compromise between cheap and light and fast.
more width would be better too right???
Thanks for your help

I know that a lot of people like stated buy aftermarket rims and put r compounds on the stock rims. Or you can go the cheap route and buy another set of stock rims and put r compounds on them. Thats what I did, and the only reason was that the tires for aftermarket rims will be more than sizes for stock rims. Plus I think that the stock rims are fine. Also if your going to be competing very much then I would look into the V710's, the victo's are a great tire but not real competitive out side of the local areas.
