BBS LM's vs. ASA AR1's
I'm curious how people with LM's feel about the unsprung weight addition. Do you feel the difference or are you just so tickled you have BBS wheels that you're numb all over?
I ask because everyone seems to frown on AR1's because they're so heavy, but LM's are the same weight and always get a

AR1s tend to get a bad rap around here but they are a good wheel at an affordable price. They are actually a little heavier than BBS LMs, about a pound per wheel but both wheels are on the portly side, tipping the scales at over 20lbs. ASA is not made or owned by BBS, rather they have some type of agreement whereby BBS supplies them with engineering design & specs and manufacturing processes. The primary difference between the two is that AR1s are a 1-piece cast wheel and LMs are a 2-piece fully-forged wheel. Jim can probably chime in with more specifics. As for driving experience, I can only comment on the LMs and, although lots of bling factor, I think they change the handling dynamics of the car a bit.

I dunno....
Perhaps because the BBS LMs are widely accepted by many luxury brand owners? BBS also caters to a number of racing programs so you can trust their knowledge when it comes to constructing a quality wheel.
The analogy of if it is good enough for them, it is good enough for us probably holds true with the BBS LM.
