However, their two piece construction is more for bragging rights more than anything.
I had a set on my bmw and one wheel had a little curb rash so I called up BBS. Asked them how much it would cost for a barrel for the LM. They said they don't sell them and that I would have to buy a whole new wheel or get it fixed.
Wasn't too please because with HRE, Kinesis, and I'm sure others, you can send the wheel back to have parts replaced.

BBS- A company with racing and Formula 1 technology and heritage. Also, being forged makes em alot stronger. You are also paying for the development and technology. ASA cant say that
I had ASA-AR1's on my MINI daily driver and i was able to bend one. Never have bent a forged wheel BBS all the way.
Don't get me wrong, I love BBS. And I appreciate the strength of forged wheels.
Then again, I've never bent a wheel, cast or forged.
I love my BBS LMs. The only difference I feel with them on vs. my much lighter forged Work RSZ-Rs is during acceleration where it feels slightly slower pickup, but I'm not drag racing, so no problems there. I don't notice any negative changes in handling, but I also run different tires on the BBS vs Works. I doubt the slight additional weight would affect handling performance. If you notice handling differences over a couple of pounds per wheel unsprung weight, you're one kickass driver. I do like the idea that the BBS are so well made. Aside from that, I love the way they look. The only con I would say against the BBS LMs is the lack of backspacing to fit any calipers.
