Best 18in wheels for the s2k?
Thought this would be something already discussed in the forums but i cant seem to find anything relatively important but I love the vaikhari hyperX 17x10 wheels but idk if id try 10 wide as my first aftermarket wheels and id rather go first for 18in wheels that are probably in the 8-9 wide range but im having trouble looking around for wheels in that spec. any reccomendations?
If these are your first aftermarket wheels then the first question that we will need to know is if you are aware of this car's fitment limitations and fender rolling needs. Second, best is subjective but in the case of this car fitment limitations often supersedes appearance and visual design given our spacing limitations leading to limited wheel options; so most recs will probably be based on fitment needs. Thankfully there are more fitment options these days for fender safe and rolled fenders than a couple of years ago however options are still more limited than some other cars and are usually 17s. Personal subjective taste, IMO 18s aren't worth it and look funny on this car if you're not running wider than 255.
If you don't want to roll fenders 18 options are even more limited than 17 options for high offset wheels. If you have rolled your fenders then the closest 18 option to the wheel you mentioned is the RX7 fitment Titan 7 TR10 in 18x10+50. My buddy has a set for his FD and mocking them up against my car with 285s it's an extremely aggressive fitment. However with 255s it should fit similar to 17x10+50s. IE fender roll all around and aggressive camber. If I had offset camber bushings I could probably manage a 275 setup using that wheel. There's a member on here that managed to figure out a neat setup with Flow 1 F2 wheels in 18x10.5 +50 with 265s without too much fender and geometry work but it seems like the wheels may have been discontinued as they don't come up in searches for vendors. Apex offers their wheels in 18x11+52 mustang fitment. It may be workable however not many people have tried them and you likely will start running into back spacing issues.
Edit: I'm referencing my personal setup with 17x9.5+51 and 255s later in this post.

giant thread with 18’s on the s2000. Width means nothing without the offset.
Those vaikhari hyperX 17x10 in +50 aren’t a bad choice. You’ll have to roll fenders and run some camber but they are doable.
