Default Best all-round tire?

Jim, what's the best tire(s) you can think of for a daily driver, stock S? I'm looking for really good dry traction, at least average wet and better than original tread wear. -Thanx

The best that I have driven on is the Bridgestone S03 Pole Position. They are exceptional in the wet with better ride quality than the OE S02 tires. The tread wear rating is a 220 compared to the 140 on the OE tire and they are an AA traction tire for the wet.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Hi Jim,

I have a 2002 stock with original S02 tires, about 8k miles on them, and the rear tread is almost gone. I'm also looking for a good overall pair for the rear. Can you explain the ratings you mentioned? Also, how much would two be?

John, If you are only going to do two tires you will be better off matching the front tires. At the point where you get them to wear out together you could look at other options like the S03.
The S03 will give better wet traction and ride quality and should be better tread life.
Let me know if I can help.

Jim
