Default Next Best Tire To S02?

helevitca IT SEEMS PRETTY UNANIMOUS THAT THE BRIDGESTONE S-02 IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST HIGH PERFORMANCE ROAD TIRES. THAT BEING THE CASE, WHAT'S THE CONSENSUS ON THE NEXT BEST? CONTI SPORT2, MICHELLINS, YOKOS?
ALSO, IS THE 17" WHEEL TIRE COMBO THE BEST COMPROMISE BETWEEN STOCK 16" AND 2 SIZE UP 18"?

The S-02s are nice summer-only tires on, but they're on the heavy side and are more suitable for European cars.

The tires I sell the most of are the S03, Yokohama ES100 and the Kumho's. You would have to decide what tire is best for your needs and your driving style.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Thanks for your prompt reply Jim. Unfortunately I failed to mention that I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we have generally high temperatures (90 degrees on average) accompanied by torrential downpours. The S0-2 is an all-time fav of mine, though it is being 'phased-out' by local dealers pushing the S0-3. I've not heard terribly good things about the S0-3 (far less predictable than S0-2 and not in the same league when it comes to dry/wet total grip). Continentals (uneven wear), Yokos, Michelins, Pirellis (v.expensive + short street life) and Dunlops (average dry, reasonable wet) are relatively popular here, followed by Falkens. Any opinion Jim?

Is there a test with the car that shows the next best tire under different road conditions ?

I don't don't know about the european car statement but they do wear out quicker, thats the trade off.
