I am looking to sell my 2000 Model Year S2000 and am trying to find the best cost-effective set of tires to put on it before I sell.

I am running Potenza Pole Position S03's on it now, and they're pretty far gone. If I was keeping the car, I'd put the S02's back on there. I much preferred their ride over the S03's.

I don't REALLY want to blow $600 on new tires all around just before selling it, so was trying to find some recommendations on cheaper tires that would still hold pretty well and look decent on the car.

I have noticed on Tire Rack's site that they show some Yokohama's as replacement tires. Is this because they're ordered often, or because their performance is similar to the PPs but at a cheaper price point?

Any help would be appreciated!

I have heard from several people that the Kumho Supra Ecsta 712 is decent and will run you about 350 max so that seems to be a pretty good option. Not as good as s02, but what ones are...

 

I also recommend the Kuhmo 712's, for they are on my car now. I am very pleased with them. They are perfect for what you need.
