Default Best setup?

I have been thinking about buying an aftermarket set of rims for my S2000 but I dont want to really get into rolling the fenders. I have stock suspension on my 2001 S2000 and want to go 18's but 17's will do if it saves me the hassle with the fenders.

So my question is if i go with 18's and stagger it with 215's in front and 245's in back am i going to run into any modifications to the fenders?

Same question goes for 17's so any help would be appreciated, also im not sure on offsets so some help there would be great...thanks

My buddy has a set of Axis Hiros 18x8.5 45 offset in front and 19x9.5 in rear 45 offset for cheap. Im assuming that they would require some fender rolling but not sure. Anyone out there have a setup like this on stock suspension, good info would be appreciated quick

All things being equal, 17's or 18's will make no difference when it comes to fender clearance. If you run proper tire sizes the overall diameter will be exactly the same.

If you run a 215/40, 245/35 combo on those Hiros they might fit without rubbing. Any kind of drop or running wider tires and you will rub for sure. You might want to dial in a little more negative camber just to be safe.

I'm selling a couple sets that would not require any fender mods on stock suspension, sent you a pm.

But to answer your question if you read the sticky thread it tells you what sizes work without fender modification. The tire sizes you mention doesn't really matter, what does is the wheel width/offset.

Here is the chart in the sticky thread

Based on successes and failures from many S2000 owners, we can use an offset calculator to figure out what other offsets and tires will work. These are minimum recommended offsets. You can use a higher offset if you want, and you will get additional fender clearance.

For the front:
205 tires: +43 offset minimum (6.5
