Best tires for S2000?
I'm looking to buy new tires for my 2004 S2000.
Potenza RE-050 has gotten pretty bad reviews with thread wearing out too fast and also being most expensive performance tires.
Im looking for something that will hold up for a while but also will give me good grip too. There are so many different Brands and I don't know which one is best one to get.
So have any one here used any other tires like Michelin, Yokohama, Hankook, Kumho, Falken, Pirelli, Dunlop and etc? Please let me know your experences.
or should I just stick with Potenza Re-050s?

It says under your name that you have a 2002 car. Why do you even have 050's?
The S02s are the best tire for grip and handling in the dry, with the 050s almost as good. Good grip and bad wear usually go hand in hand. Anything you get with long wear, will be a compromise for grip. You can't have the best of both. You can't have a "non-expensive" tire that will grip like the OEM tires AND wear for a long time.
Go to the TireRack site and check out all the tires that are available in our sizes in the price you want to pay. Check out the various ratings and decide for yourself how you wish to compromise.
ps. And why would you post this here AND in the wheel/tire forum. One is enough and double posting is against the rules.

yoko advans neova...
Problem is, they are not available in 16's, so I guess I will not be finding out how they perform based on my own experiences.
Mark was really adament when he said that the Neova is the stickiest street tire out there. He also said that it would last longer than a Bridgestone Potenza S-02
I told him if they became available in 16's, I would give him my cc#
