Default Best wheel width for 225 tire?

Hey, I am wondering what the ideal width would be for the 225 tire so there is not too much stretch and not too much bulge. Is the next logical step for a 225 tire to be on a 7.5" wheel since Honda put a 215 on a 7" wheel?

I was thinking of a setup with 18 x 7.5" +45 (or +38) and a rear of 18 x 8.5 +48.

Also, are low offset wheels putting more strain on the car?

Also, if I ran a 215 on the 7.5" wheel would it be ok?

You logic seems good for a 7.5" wheel for a 225 tire. 0.5" = 12.7mm. So... 225-215 = 10mm. Pretty equal change in width.
