better is subjective in this case, it all depends on who you ask

are you going all for looks? or do you want something that is lightweight? a little bit of each? also depends on what wheels? whats your taste in wheel style? ...etc...

of cuz looking will be my first concern..also fuel economy will be also considered.

I saw lot's of guys here go for 17 instand of 18 for aftermaket rims. after compare the price for 17 and 18, almost slightly difference. why those people wanna get 17 ,not 18? tell me the reason other than 18' rim will costs more on tires than 17's.

thx

I picked up some 17in Prodrive GC07's. They are a forged wheel = lightweght and strong. I think they look great! They match the car and are fairly subtle.

In most cases 18's look better on the car (depending on the wheel design) but the tires are more expensive and they will weigh more than the 17in version.

I never considered getting 18's, but it all depends on what you want. If its looks 18's might be better for you if its performance than 17's might be better, there's even quite a few folks running 16's (a little too small for me though )

Much better performance out of a lightweight 17" compared to a similar 18" rim.

Many people on here are looking for performance out of their car as opposed to just looks. If you don't drive your car hard there isn't going to be a difference between the two.

Basically, 17" for performance and 18" for looks with some exceptions. Although I prefer the performance oriented look of a 17" rim over an 18" rim so looks and style are subjective.
