Default 17" vs 18"

hi all. looking for a set of ce28ns however im tossing up between 17" and 18" theres only a small difference in price (about 150us) between the 2.

just wanted opinions on adv and disadv between the 2

so far i have

in favour of 17" - lighter, cheaper tyres

in favour of 18" - look nicer

lol so what do we think?

Yes the rim is lighter but the tire is heavyer.
Wheel is 1 kg heavyer i think but at least my tire is 2 kg lighter in 18

I did go 18" in ce28 and i love it. Glad i did get 18 insted of 17

yup im lowered.

so the 18" tyre is actually lighter than the 17? is that due to a lower profile?

you can do a search and seriously find lots of good information. Many discussions about 17 vs 18 in terms of performance exist already.

17's are more suited for the s imo. Some 18's look good as well though, but most look to large for the car

I would never buy 18s unless there are some great deals.

18 inch tires will have a smaller sidewall which should decrease tire roll during cornering. Also if one setup is in fact lighter than the other you would decrease unsprung weight wich will offer handling advantages.

If you just drive your car on the street I would say go with whatever fits your budget and you think looks the best. I personally like 17's on the S. Regardless get the car aligned and corner balanced.
