Default BEWARE of e-Bay seller

Everyone be careful when buying wheels from a1_spec or AspecWheels on e-Bay. He "guarantees" his wheels will fit our S2000 but the offsets are wrong; and he then won't honor neither his own guarantees or return policy.

I got stuck with a set of wheels/tires worth $2,000. I am now disputing the charges with the credit card company. Thankfully, I saved all his emails where he guaranteed fitment, etc.

IT would be helpful if you could link to the auction and list the offsets.

those wheels will fit, but you need extensive modifications like camber and fender rolling. On a stock setup it will not! good luck on getting your money back...this is the sole reason I dont buy on ebay

I know. Tough way to learn, though.

The wheels stick out 1/2 inch. I did check. No camber adjustment or fender roll were going to make them fit. Only way would have been to flare the fenders.

does he say they fit the stock setup? or does he say that they will fit the S2000?

This fits the S2000
This will fit the S2000

Those 2 comments may sound alot alike but have seriously different meanings...

Certainly misleading but he didnt lie that those wheels could fit the S2000....

Buying and selling implies an element of trust. I am all for being careful about buying online, but it is simply impossible to get into "...it depends what the meaning of IS is...", especially on e-ebay.

To keep things in perspective: (1) the seller "guarantees" the wheels fit S2000; (2) I emailed him before buying to double check; (3) he confirmed they fit S2000; (4) I took seller at his (written) word, just like most people would --and do.

Maybe I should have asked him what he really meant by the words "guarantee", "fit", and "S2000" ...ha ha
