Default Black Racing Wheels...

I need some input and or help. I just called up Black Racing in Japan and they said they have 2 sets left for the S2000. So I was like this is great news. Then I asked sizes and offsets and this is what they told us.

16x7 1/2 +45 front
16x8 +35 rear

What I dont get is why are they running this set up? Probably track reasons? They also said they would clear the Spoon brakes. I dont know if I should order these. I am running Spoons with the exact opposite with no rubbing issues.

16x7 +35 front
16x8 +45 rear

Please advise or help or input would be great. I can get these in a week. So I need to find out ASAP.

Thanks

There is no way the wheels will fit without rubbing and they will stick out of the wheel well.

something just doesnt seem right. Seems like they have it backwards.

The front of our cars have a lot more room to play than the rear. I dont think you have any hope of fitting a 16x8 +35 back there. I guess you could try adding a 10mm spacer to what you have now to know for sure

That would be my guess, only because i m pretty sure the
+45 woudlnt clear the spoon calipers either.

Well I just talked with my contact and they told me it was a typo. Its 16x7.5 +35 front (will work with Spoon calipers) and 16x8 +45 rear. So basically the same as Spoons which is perfect for what I am looking for. I am running the SW388s right now anyway. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Well interesting news. I called up another shop that had these instock in the US. Anyway I ordered the +45 17x7 1/2 front and +38 17x8 rear. I can get away with the car being lowered. My question to Jim is what tire would you recommend in the rear. I went with Falken 215/45/17 fronts and 235/40/17 rear. My rear fenders are rolled. This should fit just as good as Spoon wheels with OEM S02s correct?
