Default blitz type 01 gurus i need your help

so i just picked up a set of blitz type 01 CX and i need to know FOR SURE if they are 2 or 3 piece. i wanna refinish the centers/faces and i understand that if they are 3-piece that they would be sealed where the hoops meet AND that i would HAVE to remove the tires, whereas if they are 2-piece i could leave the tires mounted.

thank you

They're 2 piece. if you look at the back, you can see that the bolt holds on to the back of the face. so just take off all 100 rivets from each wheel and pry the face off somehow.

Thanks, although it doesn't matter, what would the back look like if it were 3 piece? Would you see the inner hoop? Is the face sandwiched between the 2 hoops on a 3 piece?

i believe all you would see is the bolts and the barrel, since the order is usually, from the outside, lip --> face --> barrel with the bolts holding them together.
hard to see, but kinda like this :

Right, so there's really no way to tell if it's 3 piece just by looking at it. Or is there?

Also I'm not real concerned about having to remove all 100 bolts per wheel. I want to do a thorough job that will look good. Also there's like half that many bolts per wheel

i know the blitz are a 2 piece b/c i've taken the tires off of mine when my tC ran over a blade-like piece of metal on the freeway, and i saw no silicone or anything, just plain barrel.
