Thumbs up Bridgestone Blizzak LM25 vs. LM22

Are LM25s everything the LM22s were, and more? Or do the LM25s sacrifice in some way to offer improvement in another area? Thanks.

The LM25 is just the next generation in the Blizzak line. From what they have told us it is just a better all around tire. They did not change much on the tire. The center tread blocks are slightly different to provide better handling characteristics in all driving conditions.
If I can help let me know.

Jim, since the LM-25's are not available in 245/40-17 should I just get the 235/45-17 or would you go with the LM-22?

I would just go with the same tire on all four corners whether it is the LM25 or LM22. You are better off in matching. If I can help let me know.

Yes, I intended to use the same model all the way around. I guess I'm really asking whether you think that LM25 is enough of an improvement over the LM22 to warrant going with a narrower rear tire (since the OEM size isn't available). For what it's worth, we only get a few days of snow here in the Portland OR area. I mostly want the Blizzaks for black ice and frosty roads.

Narrower is better in the snow. So if it fits your wheel properly, is a better tire and is narrower, it sounds like a better option.
