Default Bridgestone potenza RE-760

Search engine on s2ki is down... don't flame me

Anyone try these tires before? I'm looking at a brand new set, they will run me $300 cheaper than the re-11's. Are they better than stock?

Clickie on Tire Rack banner above ^^^

They have objective comparison test results, customer reviews, and customer survey results vs. other Ultra-High-Performance tires.

The RE760s will be less performance-oriented and have less ultimate grip than the RE11's, but depending on what you want/need out of tires, they might be a better choice for you.

Wants/needs/usage should drive your tire choice:
Max dry grip?
Max wet/dry grip?
Hydroplaning resistance?
Any snow/ice/cold-weather usage?
longevity a factor?
price?
track days?

I have used them on a 3 Series BMW with real good results. They are going to give you better wear and wet traction than the RE-11. They are not going to be the same level of handling in the dry though.
If I can help let me know.

Mentioned above but any "best" question (doesn't matter what the topic is) needs to be qualified.

I put these tires on my GFs car, they are great for daily driving, very quiet, great grip for the street, and should last 20K+ easily. If you want something with awesome grip for track/autox get RE11s or if concerned about wet traction RE050A Pole Positions (which is what I have on my S)

If you have any kind of ice and snow, take a look at the new DWS contis. I run a AP1 rim in the winter and these contis handle great in the dry and great in the wet and light snow. Just did a fun run and had no problem hanging with the fastest cars in the group running both 050 and Start spec. I run same size F-R so the rear traction is less of course.

On am on my 2nd set on my 2001 S - live in Cleveland where the weather is just nasty. I'm considering putting them on my supercharged 2007 i just bought.
You might give up a little in the corners - but they excell everywhere else
