Default Which budget winter tires to get

I am buying snow tires and theres 2 I want. Theres the firestone winterforce tires and the General Alitmax Artic. Ive heard pretty good things about both these and if youve had them tell me what you think.

I cant remember what tire it was exactly but 2 winters ago I got a set of general all seasons, I was so surprised with how good they were considering I got a brand new set of four for >500, I live in northern VA so not a lot of snow but cold enough occasionally where summer tires just won't cut it. I never had any issues as far as wet/dry roads went.
