Default bumper tab relocation..

What is this bumper tab relocation s2k owners have to do in order to fit decent sizing on the rear???

I saw worded descriptions.. but does anyone have a picture of what needs to be done?

Just wondering if you cut the bumper tab off or something..

taken from sprix:

Here is a little mini explanation I made for another member on relocating bumper tabs and shaving fenders.
First off, you would be wise to do both- roll your fender and relocate the tab. Its easy. First, unscrew the screw and save it for use a bit later. Next dremmel or cut out the tab. I actually went ahead and cut out more of the material so that I would have even more room for wheel and tire. This is a good idea, because the more room you have, the better. And you would probably be surprised at how little can make such a big deal.
Next, you drill a small hole in a similar location about five inches towards the rear of the car. Just draw a line with your mind of the wheel/tire travel, and make sure the new location is out of the way. After drilling a small hole, go ahead and use you old screw in the new location. Again, I recommend rolling the fender, relocating the tab and screw, and maybe even cutting some of the material out of there too.
I would recommend this before anything else as it is easy and cheaply done.

Hm..
I see what it does, but I think I'll have to get a visual for myself to know exactly whats up.

I'll go lift her up tonight and see what it is.

You probably wont see much. If I'm not mistaken, this isn't an issue on your 2005 AP2 since the AP2's have this bolt in a different position already.

It was an issue on MY04' , I just got done relocating them a couple weeks ago.

Once you pull off the rear wheel you'll know exactly what we're talking about in this thread. Its a pretty simple procedure.

Like Sinji said, you just move the bolt hole back along the lip a couple inches and then grind away the portion where the original hole is.
