Default Can you HANDLE this thread?

Sorry for that lame title...

Here is the deal:

I installed an Amuse front and AirWalker sides on my S (I will add a Veilside Ver1 rear later), and now the stock wheels look stupid (too small). To remedy this, I would like to move to an 18" wheel, but only if the handling can be improved in the process. The last thing that I would ever want to do is to negatively affect the handling of this car, and pay for that too. BTW, the car will remain on the factory suspension.

What is the best solution (wheels & tires; in an 18" size) that will fit here? What are the correct brands, sizes, and offsets? Please feel free to state any opinions and suggestions. Please remember, handling is of the highest importance; this is why I bought the S.

Thanks

If you don't want to compromise the handling of the car look for some lightweight 17" rims - not 18"s.

I have two sets - one for street bling (18"s) and one for auto-x/track days (17"s)

18" CEs would do the trick. I have a brand new set that i'm not using forsale. I've driven a car with the 18" CEs and the car feels different, and it will no matter what wheel you put on, but because of the construction and weight, I'd say it'd be the least intrusive mod.

I think the other member are correct. Just go with a 17" lightweight wheel with an excellent handling performance tire. I think you will get exactly what you are looking for. We have a new SSR GT7 that is light and stront with very good offsets and would work well on the car.
If I can help let me know.
