Thumbs up Can't use spare tire anymore ?

Some one told me that I can't use my spare tire during the emerergency anymore because I've lowered my car 1" and now the car is too low to use the spare tire because my OEm lip will scrap the pavement. Is this true ?

I was always under the assumption that the spare had the same overall circumference as stock.

he meant, since he believes the spare tire has a smaller profile height than the stock rim, it will cause the front lip to drag on the ground due to the smaller wheel/tire

yea, "since he believes" i don't believe there is enough of a difference to make it drag, i also don't think there is enough of a difference to worry about it, and he shouldn't be driving with the spare on for very long, anyways.

And I don't see why it would make it drag more than someone who is lowered normally drags. Dragging happens, but not more so with the spare.
