CE28N non staggered 17x9 or 17x8.5?
Hi just looking into opinion on what wheel size I should run. My car is lowered and currently clears Volk GTC 17x 8 +43 front and 17x9 +50 rear 225 255 tyres, currently has 215 and 245 though. Fenders are cut and rolled with no flare or pull.
I'm tossing up between amuse spec 17x9 +40 or 17x8.5 +40. I track this car but still want it streetable. Does dropping a half inch aid in clearence? And should I get 245 all round or 255 advan ad08?.
Does the 8.5 lose much of the aggressive look?

There is a big difference between a 255 tire on a 9" +40 in the front and your current 215 on a 8" +43. You would need to flare the front to make that work and probably run at least -2 camber. 9" +63 would be the way to go for 255 non-staggered, but might not be aggressive enough for the look you want. A 8.5" +40 will only give you 1/4" more clearance than a 9" +40.

Thanks for the replies, I understand I will need to flare the fronts, Camber is an easy fix too.
I'm going to get 8.5 + 40 in ce28, and run a 245 semi all round.

I've got a question about CE28N in 17x8,5 +40 . I've been searching info on fitting 17x8,5 +40 rear . I've got the rear fenders rolled . And I want to use OEM size bridgestone potenza re050 tires. Is this going to work ??
