Certified Preowned - worth it?
Hey, I'm seriously looking at a 2000 NFR with ~37k miles that was bought by the current owner as a certified preowned car. From the looking that I have done, it seems that CPO cars come with a 100k mile warranty, but this guy says his is 7yr/80k miles. My question is - What is this warranty and what does it cover? I'd tend to think it is powertrain only, especially since he has had the car a year (the normal length of a CPO full car warranty).
Is it odd to see a CPO with an 80k warranty? Is it imposible? If it is just a powertrain warranty, is it worthwhile?
Also, I know a couple TSBs haven't been attended to on this car, such as the banjo bolts and the cluch. Are these replaced at Honda's expense whenever I bring the car in?
Thanks a lot! Hopefully within a week I'll be able to fill out the "owners" section of my profile!
