Default Changing Stagger Effects

I"m thinking about getting 18x7.5 (225/40-18) for the fronts and 18x8 (245/40 or 255/35) in the rear. I'm concerned with the width of the rear wheels and how it might affect handling? Anyone with experience or comments about this setup?

You would have to be in a 245/35R18 in the rear. The 18X8 is a narrow wheel for the rear of the car and this is as wide as you can go.
