Default Competition tires for MY04

Is anyone thinking about what tires to use for the upcoming auto-x season? It seems like the Tirerack website is clueless as to what to recommend. Any ideas???

I know that auto-x experience with the 04 is probably rare since it came out in late Fall, but I would still love to get a package BEFORE spring.

The hot tires appear to be the Hoosier A3S04 which should come in 225/45 fronts and 245/40 rears and the Kumho Excta V710s. The Kumhos are not currently listed in S2000 sizes.

In either case you have a real race tire...only for the track...with relatively short competitive lives.

Kumhos older Ecsta V700 comes in 225/45 and 245/40 size and the Victoracer V700 comes in 225/45 and 255/40 sizes.

I actually would go the 225/45R17 front and 255/40R17 rear. There are a lot of choices in R compound tires in these two sizes. I have Kumho, Michelin, Hoosier and Pirelli available.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Yes, but only the Hoosier and Kumhos are for autocross...
