Default Different tires sizes for OEM 17" wheels

I am looking to purchase both front and rear tires soon (probably Hankook Ventus RS2s) and am looking for size options. I am lowered on Eibach Pro-kit (1") with stock shocks.

Here's what I was thinking:
Current New
215/45-17 225-40-17
245/40-17 255-40-17

Would these sizes rub? Major problems .. etc?

Thanks.

You would need the 225/45R17 in the front. The 225/40R17 would be too short and would not match with the 255/40R17. If I can help with the tires let me know.

Jim, Thanks. So, 225-45-17 and 255-40-17 would be a good match?

Jim:

Is Hankook Ventus RS2s available in the 255/40-17 size? Would I rub with the 1" drop?

Thanks.

Hankook doesnt make the RS2 in 255/40/17. Best bet with that size I would say are some Bridgestone's (I believe you can get the RE050's as well as the RE01R's in the 225/255 stagger) or if you want to save a little money, look at the Falken Azenis 615.
