I was suprised how well the Star Specs do in the rain - definitely wasn't expecting much but I'd say they are better than RE-750s
Any update on when this will be done?

Thanks!

If you mean the official Tire Rack review - no idea.

But for my unofficial pre-review: these tires kick butt, super sticky.

I chose between the XS and the dunlops for my 08 STI- I went with the XS and used them in a 275/40 for One Lap of America a couple of weeks ago. These tires were simply unreal in the dry, the best I have ever felt short of an R compound. They were rather moderate in the wet, I am certain the Dunlops would be better in the wet.

Yeah, I'm still being impressed by the XSs. I'm extremely happy I went with these rather than buying the Star Specs again.

I'm planning on purchasing these for my stock ap1 rims. I'm looking to get 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 for front/rear like suggested in the sticky. The problem is I can't find 245/45/16s anywhere.. advice?

Kumho make a 265/45/16 though, 3% difference slower compared to OEM
