Sigh. I just need to make a text expander for this reply. The fronts will be your concern and the issue isn't the tabs. It is the tiny fender lip between the 2 upper most tabs. That is what the tire will catch. Since you are looking at lowering it and Autox you need to watch the fronts very carefully and any signs of rubbing you need to address it. That little lip can be rolled up without messing with much of the fender if the person knows what they are doing. You can roll the tabs if you want but they reAlly are not what the tire will catch that little lip is.

I disagree, I've seen it catch tabs that have not been pushed out of the way.

I'm running the TSW Interlagos 17x9 +63, 255s on all 4 corners, lowered on Ohlins DFV. I rolled the fronts. ( I was burning through the plastic buttons on the tabs with AP2 wheels and 225s on the front, and as mentioned above, had rubbed the lip between the tabs over bumps with the wheels turned.)

Every one I have rolled after the tire has caught caught the fender lip and there have been quite a few. The tabs are long enough that the sort of get pushed up by the tire. Not saying it can't catch the tab but I have seen numerous examples and all have caught the lip.

my spare setup is pretty discreet

I run the stock ap2v1 17x8.5 rear rims with the center bored out so i can fit them on front with a 255/40/17.
I run the oem ap2v1 17x7.5 front rim custom widen 3 inches to a 17x10.5 so i can fit a 275/40/17 drag radial in the back. Fits great on the stock body and it looks stock.
