Default Do I have to buy staggerd rims?

HI,

I know are s2k's have staggered rims ,but I plan on buying new ones soon. Would it be ok to buy non stagered rims because I have a friend with some nice rims for sale ,vut there not staggered.

Thanks

search this site before you go buying 'any' set of wheels. stagger is the only way i would go, and many others here will swear by it also. you can always run non-staggered rims, with staggered tires, but this is not very safe. also, its most likely gonna turn your handleing into crap. what are the sizes and offsets of the wheels? those are the most important factors.

Lots of people run non-staggered wheels. I would be more worried about the offsets.

you can run non-staggered, but you will throw off the stock handling characteristics. With non staggered setup alone, the car will want to over-steer more.. which isn't exactly what the S needs on the street

You'll need to buy the whole wheel, not just the rim part.

I think you heard wrong. A non staggerred setup should cause excessive oversteer.

You can run non staggered, but If your friend did not have them on an S2000 it is very likely they wont work.

A couple of questions would help us answer your question. What kind of car were they on? What is the size width an offset of the wheels? What do you plan on doing with the car i.e. Track, auto-cross, canyons, non of the above?
