Does this work?
yes it will work but you should rather go with a staggered set up.....meaning wider in the rear.... at least an 18x8 or something since factory is 8.5.......handling will be worse with all 4 wheels the same size.....
Is anyone sure if the offset of 48 works all around and if it is ok for the car...Becuase I know a 42 works fine, but is 48 too much of a difference not really sure about offset and if that is that big of a deal...These rims are only being used for show and normal driving and my stock wheels will be used for track....Are both 42 and 48 offsets ok and if so which is better and why I would like to know more?!?
Bolt Pattern:5x114.3
Size: 18"x7.5" front and rear
Off Set: +48mm front and rear
WILL THIS WORK???

okay our car (ap2) comes stock with 17x7.5 with 55+ offset for front and 17x8.5 with like 65+ offset for rear. The higher the offset the more it sticks inside of the fender, the lower the offset the more it sticks out and can wrinkle your fender. So with that said stick with the highest possible offset available and yes 48+ is okay for front and rear, 42+ is pushing it for front but not for rear. Hope that helps.......

Question do most aftermarket wheels allow for the usage of our stock lugnuts or are new ones required when putting new aftermarket wheels on the car....I was confused about this because I wasn't sure if I needed to buy any lugnuts and if I do does anyone know where black lug nuts could be bougth to fit our car adn aftermarket wheels??
Lower offset does not mean that the rims will look more cambered in it just means that they will stick out further near the fender....so lets just say you have a wheel that is 18x7.5 with a 32+ offset those wheels would definitely stick out past the fender and if you hit a bump say good bye to your fenders. The higher the offset the more your wheels will stick in and stay away from your fender which is something you want.
so when running lower offset wheels you have 2 options....
a. running negative cambers
pros- allow you to put those wheels on
con- eat up your tires pretty quick
b. rolling your fenders
pros- also allows you to use those wheels
con- some people don't like messing with the body structure of their car
to answer your other question yes you probably will have to get some aftermarket/tuner lug nuts for the new wheels and hopefully Jim will chime in and help you out with that......
