i paid 270 dollars to get a new michelin for my rear ap2v1 wheel and upon receiving the wheel, i found five places around the lip that had the clearcoat chipped off. i got really really angry and in a very nice way told them to repair my wheel, they agreed. I want to send my wheel to wheels of america, my fear is that it will come out looking different then the other 3 wheels. Has anyone sent there wheels there before? I want my wheels to be mint again ='(.

 

Guess I won't have that worry as I've curb rashed mine pretty bad.

Spend the extra, and take it to a quality wheel repair place.
Send the bill to firestone?

 

Honestly, when the rims are on the car, they will be far apart enough to where you shouldn't notice they are different. If you put them right next to each other however, you may see some distinctions.

 

If it's just the clearcoat, then it should be okay, but any color matching with wheel repairs is never exact.
