Dude do what you want with your car. 19's IMO look sick on the S2K. But I wouldn't recommend any 19's just as I wouldn't recommend any 17" or 18" wheel. HRE is made with some of the finest material to look visually appealing and weigh pretty light for the size. Although I have a turbo and this just aids to get grip, but it also looks SICK in person. Trust me the internet will never portray a car how it looks in person. I hate how people bring up how these big wheels slow a car down, when cheap ass 17's or 18's can do the same. You got the money do it, if you like it do it, if you disagree thats your own problem and it effects no one.

And 99.9% of the time people with 19's don't track with the 19's so handling characteristics... WHO CARES.. I have OEM with R-compounds and now I am planning on some Enkei RPF01. So everyone needs to stop like they keep seeing an S2K with 19's at autox.

Everything I just typed is totally invalid if actually are trying to attract the type of girl that will mistake an enormous wheel to be proportional to your net worth... If that's the case, I recommend just lying to them about how much you make. Although equally dishonest, lying would be much cheaper that getting new wheels (free!), and just as effective, as those girls probably aren't bright enough to catch on. Buying wheels to get laid is twice as ridiculous as putting twenty-inch wheels on an s2000. Why do you need wheels, anyway? Picking up girls in a stock s2000 is like fishing with dynamite. Sounds like you need to improve your game, not your wheels. Or buy a different car. For maximum attention, contact Bubb Rubb via the following link....

It is my opinion that the entire point of owning an s2000 is to make you smile when no one is around. Making a social statement with giant wheels is materialistic and immature, at best.

Oh , and totally pm me if you're down for a Prodrive masturbation frenzy. Consider this your invite.

You have seen my car correct? You do realize that I'm speaking from experience, not as someone who's read an article somewhere??

I run on both stock wheels and big 19x8.5f/10.5r HREs. I switch out fairly often as well and I can tell you from first hand experience that there is a VERY small difference between the two when driven at moderate (legal) speeds. Turn in is a little crisper with the stock wheels, but that's as much a product of the narrower tire as it is the wheel diameter. Over very sharp bumps there's hardly a difference at all. The Continental tires on my 19s are less aggressive than the stock wheel and I believe have a more forgiving sidewall.

As I've said before, I'm sure there is a measurable difference, but for day to day driving, I can honestly tell you that there is VERY little difference in the feel of the car. On track, I would never run the 19s. I admit full on that they are strictly for looks. And in my opinion (and most others) they look damn good.
What HRE's are those? I went to Wheelweights.net and the only 19" HRE's on there are 18.8 pounds and 19.8. So, actually your fronts are 1.2lbs. heavier than stock and your rears are .7lbs lighter.

OF course, Your rotating Mass is further out from the hub now. I cannot believe for a second that one could not feel the difference. I'd also imagine that the car runs a lot more harsh on the thinner rubber.

Living in Utah it would be crazy for me to get anything bigger than 17" wheels. There are freakin pot holes everywhere and the roads are just plain shit.

Your wheels do look pretty good though! Definately the only wheel above 18" that looks good on the S IMO.

In all honesty, who gives a shit? Go get some 22's so you can make a statement and be "original". Do what the hell you want, it's your car and your life. Nobody here could give a shit less.
