Default Egg Shaped Rim? (Help, please, Jim)

Purchased and installed a set of BBS RKs on my wife's Audi A4 about 4K miles ago... recently I drove her car and the tires felt out of balance at high speeds, so I had them balanced. The wheel place told me that one of the rims was egg shaped and said that it was probably due to hitting a pothole. There is NO visible damage to the rim, though.

Any ideas on what the prob. is?

Jim hasn't been online since the 30th according to my PM tracking. I sent him a PM on the 28th of July...

Anyone else heard of BBS producing slightly out of round rims?

I would think the wheel hit a pot hole... If it were round before, then it probably was damaged. The wheel doesn't have to show any signs of physical damage. The tire probably took most of the impact. There are places that can straighten the wheel out. Cheaper than a new wheel.
