Enkei PF01SS
Hi,
I'm picking up a used set of 4 Enkei PF01SS wheels, 17x9 +60 offset, later this week. I plan to use them for auto cross and was wondering what tires/sizing I should go with to experience little to no rubbing + max performance? I'm currently on stock suspension but plan to replace with fortune auto 500 coilovers and am looking to lower the car about 1" - 2".
Side note: does anyone know the difference between Enkei PF01SS and Enkei PF01?
Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

Most people, including myself, run 255/40-17 on a 9 inch wheel. 245/40-17 is another option that can give a little more fender clearance.
As far as tires go just about any tire in the extreme performance summer category will perform well. Tires like the Bridgestone re71r is a popular choice if you want to shave every 10th of a second you can. I personally run the Hankook RS4 to get a little more life out of my tires as i daily drive the car and just do occasional track days.
Main difference in pf01 and pf01ss is the sizing. I think the ss tends to have a little more lip on the wheel as well.

You'll be fine with 255 in the rear with negative camber and you can run 255 up front with enough negative camber (-3.0) and a tab roll for good measure. If you're doing any amount of regular street driving, I wouldn't use 200TW (EHP); I would get a second set of wheels for street. For best performance: Yokohama A052, BFG Rival S 1.5, or Bridgestone RE-71R. The Yokos won't survive too much street driving. For street driving, I stick with UHP tires (~300TW) since it's more than enough grip for street and it has much greater longevity than EHP.
The PF01 do not come in 17x9 or S2000 friendly offsets unlike the PF01SS and the SS are about 1 pound lighter than the plain PF01.

Love my big lip on PF01SS. I have PF01SS 17X9 +48, I run 245 all 4. The rear look flush so 255 should be ok. Up front is poking out beyond fender so with +60 and 255 might be ok.
My car is lower and fender rolled.

Thanks.
Do you guys think 225/45/17 can work with the 17x9 +60 on the fronts?
I am currently running PF01(17x8 +50) on 225/45/17 and 17x9 +60 with 255/40/17
But looking to switch on a different color and go all 17x9 +60?
Fenders are already rolled.
