Enkei Wheels + Track Tires
I need help from pros like you guys! I am purchasing Enkei wheels, but don't know if I should go with a staggered 17x8 and 17x9 set-up or a 17x9 all around?
My other question was I was looking for track tires and saw that there were awesome ratings for Yokohama A048, Toyo P888 and Toyo RA-1s but I don't know which of these would suit me better. Also, am I missing any other comparable tires?
-Turbo car (high 400WHP)
-Mainly used for large autox and road coarses
**Before you guys yell and say I didn't search, I did but still need insight. I want to know if the 17x9 set-up might cause understeering issues, but also be good due to my excessive power**

17x9 with 265 or 275s out back
I would assume 265/xx/17 R888s in the rear will be sufficient, especially if it will be your first time (or one of the first) If it is your first time, I'd suggest driving on street tires since they tend to have lower level of grip so they are better to learn on since they break loose easily.
with the 17x9 fronts and 235/40/17 nt05s, my car felt as neutral as ever, even when being pushed in the rain.

with a 9 x 9 f/r i think the car will perform better with it's 50/50 balance.
as for 8x9 most likely goes with the stock set up.. but i personaly think that won't be a btter set up..
because with the same offset at both f/r in a different size of wheel...
but i am not sure about it.
just look at the stock offset set ups, the front it's always smaller offset when the wheels are smaller in the front, that way they can be exact the same wheel base..

Ok I see then I will go with the 17x9 setup f/r! But now I need to figure out tires. BTW, this is not my first track event it will be my third or fourth and I have a lot of autox behind my belt. Obviously by no means am I a pro, but I think I can take all the grip I can get with all the power.
just get 255 ...
u can either get the dunlop d star spec.. forgot the full name..
or something falken rt-615..
but u need to roll ur f / r fenders.. and a little camber...
as for the camber i suggest u go to some alignment shop and get a good alignment set up for track use ...
maybe uk specs ..

OP....you should also ask the road racing forum for info too. I think you'll get a lot more informed eyeballs there.
