Default Falken Azenis RT-615

Hey people. Just got back from America's Tire Co where Tireguy was recommending the Falken Azenis RT-615 as a great alternative to the standard Bridgestones. Just wonder what has been other people's experience with the tire, both street and track use.

I ran 275/40/17 all around on my 350Z. Excellent dry grip and fairly stiff sidewall, but they do tend to get greasy when warmed up. I didn't really use them for daily driving, but you certainly can. Noise and wet traction won't be great, but it shouldn't keep you from getting them.

Hmm. The price on these things is incredible so I think I'll probably purchase a set before a May 3 track day.

im verry verry happy with my set...
i am running 225 / 255's and they are VERY beefy! Grip like hell too.. car is INCREDIBLY planted in corners etc... my car has never felt this good before.

For comparison i have run: Bridgestone S02, Bridgestone RE050, Bridgestone re750, Hankook Rs2's, Kumho SPT, Toyo T1R, Toyo Proxy 4, Yoko ES100.. (between my 2 s2000's)

If i ever try another tire it will be the Dunlop Z1 Star Spec..

I've have currently, 215/40F(reason: literally got these for free), and 225/50R. Haven't really driven hard on these, and can't say for sure on their performance on this particular car, as I haven't had a chance to have them on a dry autocross track.

On my Miata, setup for STS2 autocross, this tire was solid all around. Yes they do tend to get hot fast, even the normal drive to the store will heat them up fast, but they did seem to reach their max, and seemed to just ride on 36psi no matter what. Moving forward to this year, I've slapped on some Dunlop Z1 (non-star spec). HUGE difference! The main word for the Azenis today is: outdated. They seem to wear extremely quick, even on my DD of the S, about 4-5K, they seem to be half gone or more. Loved them yesterday, hate them today

i have them on my Advans that i am selling, and of course i bought them again for my new wheels that i am installing this week. the dry weather grip is great, the side wall holds well in cornering, the look itself to the tread pattern and side wall says your tough. but i guess wet conditions then would be subjective, posts above say the wet grip was still good, for me not so much. whats different is i am running a non stagg pretty wide up front setup, so i feel like i am all over the road when it is wet at high speeds. best bang for the buck performance tire imo, ill post new pics in the gallery in the coming week or so.
