Default Falken RT 615

I was wondering what you guys thought of the Falken RT 615 tire. Would they be worth getting or should i get a more expensive options like the Re-11.

Any input would be great.

Star specs are far better and will last just as long, cost just abou the same, and be a lot better in the wet. The rt615's were a great tire a couple years ago and were probably top of their class but now there are so many better options for the same price. Falken really needs to step it up and put out a new tire.

in los angeles, star specs are definitely more expensive than 615's.

i wouldn't buy 615's again. they're inexpensive, but don't ride that great in the street and get greasy very quick on the track. horrific in rain, too.

re-11's are REALLY expensive tires...

its a wonderful tire, i put about 10K on a set, just watch out when and if it gets cold like 40ish and when u get to the last 1/10 or so of tread the tire really starts to become unpredicable.

They were a good tire for the money a couple years ago when they first came out but i wouldnt recommend them now. Thread life is decent and so is grip but they get greasy really quickly and arent very good in the wet like others said.

They are far too dated IMO. For a track tire maybe, but for an all around great tire there are better options. Star specs, RE-11, etc.

That tread pattern is sexy though.

I have them on my evo right now. they are literally bald like slicks. I got ~9000 miles on them at best. They are good tires but was a bit disappointed in the mileage I got out of them for spending that much $$
