Default Falken RT-615 question

Falken RT-615
235/40/18's for fronts
255/40/18's for the rear

would it fit on these wheels?
the wheels are TE-37's
18 7'1/2 in the front +48
18 8'1/2 in the rear + 50

im running 225 in the front now not sure if 235 would make alot of difference?

thanks guys!!

Fronts should be 215/40, maybe 225/40 max. The rear should be 225/35, not 255/40; that tire is too tall. Both sizes will be tight if you are lowered. My fronts rub a little on the outside of the front fender with a 225/40 tire and a +50 offset, my rears would rub if I was lower with a +55 offset. My camber is near stock.

fyi, tire compound > tire size and I read that people prefer the Bridgestone RE-01R and the Dunlop Star Specs over the Falkens.

The tire sizes up wil work but of course, you will be needing a roll on all 4 sides, negative camber, and a relocated rear bumper tab. It would be ultimately safer to run a 215/225 and 245 though, but the 255/235 combo will give you a more aggressive stance

225 would have some stretch... personally I would go with 245/35 and you will probably need to roll fenders if you are lowered, maybe run a little more camber

^How would a 225 be a stretch on a 7.5" wide wheel? I think you might be confusing the front and rear wheels.

Minimal, but it may just be enough to be scrub free, of course this is depending on ride height

You said 225 on the rears on an 8.5 inch wheel.

I was just suggesting that rather than streching the tires and compromising sidewall strength at all that he should get a more appropriate size and roll fenders.

Given it is minimal stretch, it just seems that he has very slightly aggressive wheels and that without much work he could get what he wants to fit. (He wants 255)
